An Election Eve Letter from John Georges
Dear Friends and Supporters,
For the past year I have been working on this campaign and I believe that tomorrow the great citizens of New Orleans will demonstrate that they want real change. I decided to run for mayor because I know this city can be great. We have so much potential, but there is tough work ahead to truly move us forward. I will make things happen for this city by reducing crime, increasing jobs, fixing our streets and improving health care. I hear overand over again from good people in all parts of town about the need for atough leader who CARES and can get things done. Someone who’s not a career politician, who doesn’t owe favors to big contributors who have city contracts. I have said it before, I cannot be bought. When I am mayor we will have a fair, honest and customer friendly City Hall. I pledge to hold members of my administration and all city employees accountable because likeme, they work for you.
I am so proud of the support I have received from many business, religious, political and law enforcement leaders along with many civic and political groups. That includes the endorsement of District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro. Crime is the biggest issue we face in our city and the DistrictAttorney knows that I will be the tough partner he needs to tackle this problem. I’m also honored to have the endorsements of the The Tribune and The Data Weekly. Both of these publications recognize that I have a track record of inclusive practices which I will continue as mayor of New Orleans. I thank them for their support and thank the great people of this city for fighting for change and moving our campaign to the next level.
I’m ready for a winning weekend for the Georges Campaign and the Saints!
Thank you again for your support,
John
