For far too long, New Orleans has had a reputation as a hotbed of corruption.

No more!  In our City Hall, every employee will be held to the highest ethical standards.  Corruption, bribery, insider deals and nepotism will not be tolerated, and no one will be above the rules.  Treating City jobs like duties and requiring that people fulfill their responsibilities will make all of the difference in the world, not only to those on the outside, but also to you and the other citizens the government is here to serve.

- Enact stronger ethics and anti-corruption regulations for all city employees, spreading accountability to every corner of government operations.

- Support the independence of the Inspector General’s Office.

- Continue the practice of having an independent commission monitoring the IG’s Office in order to ensure that it, too, is held accountable.

- Recruit and retain a diverse, capable and responsive executive leadership team to head city departments.

- Work closely with the City Council to ensure that department heads are responding to citizens’ concerns.

- Restore accountability and integrity to government by hiring only the best-qualified people.

- Streamline the administration’s personnel structure so that each official’s role is apparent and the chain of command is clear to the public.

-  Address inefficiencies in City services and departments instead of making across-the-board budget cuts.
